The project is connecting the historical building in the street Jungmannova 15, designed by Osvald Polívka during 1907-1910 with a new courtyard annex building. The whole building is offering an environment of premium office block made in the highest A-class quality with a prestigious address in the city center.
The emphasis was put on the preservation of all historically valuable elements thanks to which the building kept its period atmosphere. The original staircase was preserved in the old part of the building as well as wooden casement windows, doors, ironmongery elements - where used materials clearly refer to the history of the building.
Our office is the co-author of the project including all interiors of entrance areas and shows lettable areas.
The lobby with the reception is designed in such a way to connect the new part as naturally as possible with the historical part thus causing the harmonic effect of the building.
Noticeable element is atria allowing to the building a sufficient quantity of daylight as well as vegetation. This is creating a pleasant working space also inviting for relaxation. New lifts in the central position form small lobbies on office floors thus becoming a communication link between both parts of the building.
The new building is interpreted in a contrastive and fully modern manner. Façades are fully glazed, the internal area is divided by aluminum glazed partitions or tiles with color glass.
JUNGMANNOVA 15 is a refurbished building with certification LEED Platinum 2014 in the Czech Republic.
